Water Safety Management
Water Safety Management including emergency response, national pool lifeguard qualifications, national rescue award for swim teachers and water smart awards.
Emergency Response Pool
This course is designed to meet the HSE regulations for working environments with a swimming pool and is perfect for gyms and hotels with pools that are not manned by lifeguards.
The emergency responder can be any member of the facility called upon to rescue and provide first aid.
National Water Safety Management Programme
This is a programme developed by RLSS UK that gives employers and employees the safety information and appropriate skills required when working in, around or near open water and having a strong focus on preventative measures – along with effective emergency response skills.
This course is broken down into separate levels and modules depending on your requirements.
Pool Extraction Board (PXB)
This course is a stand-alone course for the use of the eagerly anticipated Pool Extraction Board (PXB), created in partnership with the RLSS UK and Ferno UK.
The new design creates faster rescue times, offers improved safety and has the potential to reduce demands placed on staff whilst ensuring the casualty is extracted from the pool with the correct care and attention.
Level 3 Award in Pool Plant Operations
The Level 3 Pool Plant Operations qualification is the highest level of training available for those who are responsible for the management and maintenance of swimming pools, spas and interactive water features.
It reflects the most up-to-date requirements and standards for pool plant operations, with a robust syllabus which covers all aspects that are vital to running a wet leisure facility and maintaining healthy and hygienic water including: water testing, disinfection, pool water chemistry, dosing, mechanical operations, heating, energy efficiency, management practices, health & safety and more!
National Rescue Award for Swim Teachers and Coaches
Widely known as NRASTC, this course is for the supervision and rescue qualification for teachers working on the poolside or in the water during programmed activities, such as a swimming lesson.
It is suitable for teachers working in a wide range of swimming pools where the water is deeper than the teachers’ standing depth and meets the Individual sites risk assessment.
Aquatic Therapy Shallow Pool Rescue Award
This is a supervision and rescue qualification for therapists, teachers and support staff working on the poolside or in the water during activities such as, aquatic therapy or therapeutic exercise/play.
The qualification is suitable for use in shallow pools where the rescuer will not be required to swim to perform a rescue, with water no deeper than the rescuers chest depth.
Water Smart Award
This course is designed to establish an essential skill base which we consider everyone should achieve to ensure safety and competence around water, which ultimately supports the prevention of drowning.
This course has been designed as a standalone award from other water safety programmes and provides a gateway for participants to go on to complete further awards to develop skills and knowledge to keep themselves and others safe whilst enjoying the water.
