https://www.insafehandstraining.com/book-a-course/childrens-courses/paediatric-first-aid-3/

Our Blended Learning consists of 6 hours online learning and one day of face to face training at the centre.

Online learning MUST be completed before attending the classroom training day.

Learners will receive an email direct from the Awarding Body, Qualsafe, inviting them to the learner portal where they will complete the online learning element of the course. This can be done over a period of days, during the week prior to the face to face sessions, or all at once if they wish; this is the learner's choice.

The online learning link will be emailed approximately a week prior to the when the course is scheduled to start and will need to be completed before attending face to face training at the centre.

Held at our simulation centre for individuals, or at your setting for a larger group, this Paediatric First Aid course will place you into scenarios you may experience within your daily job role as a childminder or EYFS teacher. Our instructors will set the scene to create memories you can call upon should your skills be called into action.

This course will include:
• Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
• First aid kit information and equipment
• Aims and priorities of first aid
• Primary assessment and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation for the adult, child and infant casualty
• The recovery position
• Choking
• How to deal with minor, major bleeding and shock
• Dealing with seizures
• Identifying childhood and other medical conditions

During the face to face day at the centre, you will sit two multiple choice examination papers to confirm your learning and gain the accredited certificate which is valid for three years. Candidates will also be awarded a full colour manual to keep for reference along with a key-ring face shield, and be invited to keep their life saving skills up to date by attending an annual refresher course with us.
To requalify at the end of the 3 years you will need to complete the full 2 day course again.
Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of the training.
