• First aid kit information and equipment
• Aims and priorities of first aid
• Primary Survey
• Unresponsive casualty management
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation including use of a defibrillator
• The recovery position
• Choking
• How to deal with bleeding, wounds & shock
• Minor injuries
• Dealing with seizures
• Burns and scalds

The number of training days required to achieve both qualifications has been minimised and streamlined to avoid the duplication of topics associated with attending both the Emergency First Aid at Work and
Emergency Paediatric First Aid courses separately.
What’s more, this course is formed from two regulated qualifications, which employers can book for their employees and be assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without having to undertake any lengthy due diligence checks.

During the 7 hours of training, you will sit one multiple choice examination paper to confirm your learning and gain the accredited certificates which are valid for three years.

This qualification is valid for 3 years. Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of the training
