Basic Life Support
Basic life support training is conducted over a very short period. This vital training for anyone in medical practice and general workplace could be the difference in saving a life or not. Basic life support training covers the absolute basics of resuscitation, good airway control, management of unconsciousness and the recovery position. This course can be conducted on site with you and your team or with us at our training venues.
Who is this course suitable for?
This course is suitable for General Practitioners, Dentists and other medical staff. It’s also provides a basic in-sight into first aid or those who would just like to learn resuscitation skills. We very often deliver this training to school students as part of health/PE studies or Duke of Edinburgh programmes.

What is the qualification?
Basic life support and is valid for 12 months
Who is the course accredited by?
The course for all GP’s, Dentists and their staff is a mandatory every 12 months, by the General medical council, General dental council, NICE Guidelines and JRCALC.
Who will I be taught by?
Our team of trainers are not just professional teachers the majority are members of the Ambulance Service and other emergency services. They deliver factual training based on current guidelines and most importantly experience. This ensures you are being taught by a professional that has actually done in real terms what they are teaching you. This is absolutely imperative as a medical professional as your patients and members of the public have a an expectation of you and your knowledge and abilities.
In Safe Hands has a unique facility for training. Known as the ‘Simulation Centre’ students are taught in a multi environment setting. This includes a Kitchen, Bar Area, Lounge, Car, Outdoor area, Bathroom, Bedroom, and a Children’s play area. This allows courses to be facilitated, not just ‘in the classroom’ but in working arenas similar to that of their working environment.
It’s very much a fact of life that we learn by experience, which is why our training is more experience led.
